April 11, 2015 will mark a red letter day in the lives of the people of Ottawa as the city’s Dental Charity Ball hosts Sparkle, The Dental Charity Ball–an evening of inspiration and energy and a rare coming together of scientific minds and caring attitudes to create a better environment of oral health awareness. It aims to bring together the largest number of stakeholders in oral health from the National Capital region and eastern Ontario to celebrate a synergy of oral health.
Sparkle, the ball, is scheduled to be held during the National Dental Hygienists Week (April 6-12, 2015) and National Oral Health Month as well, is all set at a spectacular venue–the Grand Hall & River View Salon at the Canadian Museum of History. It will be a formal black tie affair with gourmet food stations, live musical entertainment, photography, audio-visual displays, a dance floor, silent auction, guest speakers, door prizes and lots more. All in all, there will be a generous mix of socializing, networking, education, awareness and synergy.
Sparkle is renowned for raising funds for those organizations that work to fortify the health of others on a local, national and global platform. In this continuing vein, this year it extends itself to support the Canadian Cancer Society – Oral Cancer, the Youville Center, the Ottawa Food Bank & the Canadian Foundation for Dental Hygiene Research and Education and the Pro Bono Dental Program.
The event is sponsored by the Canadian National Institute of Health, Ottawa Dental Hygienist Society, MNP LLP, Saikali Wealth Management Group, and Auspice Safety INC.
This event is being managed by the Dental Charity Ball (DCB) committee that comprises a clutch of eminent dentists and managers, and people of vision and caring.
